So...I went minorly viral on TikTok this week. As of Tuesday afternoon, a video of mine has 30K views, 3,134 likes, 827 comments, 193 shares, and 221 saves.

Like what?!

It's utterly surreal, and I've gained 160 new followers from it already.

The subject? Texas beef boycott.

Yes, seriously.

Nothing to do with business, astrology, Human Design, or anything in my work. Nada.

Here's the story:

If you're not in Texas, or you've taken a news detox, you may not know that Texas House Democrats fled the state to prevent a quorum so that the Republicans can't gerrymander the state even more than it already is.

This is a move that Democrats have made in the past when the other party has put forth extreme votes, and it prevents a vote from happening. In the past, it's blown over pretty quickly.

This time, the nation is watching, and one of the trends that popped up on TikTok yesterday was "Texas beef boycott." The idea is to boycott Texas beef as a way to oppose the efforts to gerrymander here in the Lone Star State.

I post talking head videos about a variety of subjects on my TikTok, so when I made my approximately 3-minute video talking about the situation on Monday, and how people outside of Texas can help, I didn't think much of it.

When I went to bed Monday night, I already had 10k views and growing. What the what?!

Now, don't get me wrong, this isn't going to really help my business at all, but it IS a fun example of what happens when you show up in your full, authentic energy and talk about something important to you.
